KRISTA PORVAZNIK
Founder & CEO
I have served as an executive coach for several hundreds of leaders and teams wanting to elevate and evolve as they navigate strategic growth, culture change and critical transitions. I bring both traditional and unique tools to both executive and team coaching engagements and creates a safe space to intentionally explore your growing edges, become more conscious of your impact, stay centered and evolve your leadership in the face of adversity. I’ve been told that I have an uncanny way of opening up transformational conversations that lead to growth and change. I believe in your potential, am a great accountability partner, will help you bring out your most authentic and aligned YOU and am not afraid to hold up a mirror that may reflect your blind spots or areas of growth.
I have nearly 3 decades of global leadership, talent development, organizational culture change, and personal transformation experience. I was with Target Corporation for over 10 years leading a global team with organizational effectiveness responsibilities, including shaping the organization’s talent development strategy, talent management processes, and organizational change initiatives. Prior to Target, I worked at McGladrey & Pullen as an executive recruiter, as well as conducted assessments for selection, coached leaders and helped guide family businesses through succession planning.
I transformed my own leadership story in 2009, leaving the corporate world to start my own coaching and consulting practice (in the height of an economic downturn no less). I love the diversity of my clients, they range from first time leaders to CEOs working in non-profits to Fortune 50 organizations, across retail, health care, technology and agriculture sectors.
Growing up in rural WI and now living in St. Paul, MN, I was born to play outdoors! I love living life to the fullest as a mom of 2 teenage boys (and a 3-year old Hound mix rescue). Meditator, yogi, world traveler, paddle boarder, bridge builder, nature lover, and dreamer are just a few of my other “titles”!
If you are someone who needs to know about educational background, I have a BA Psychology Major, Business Minor, and MA Counseling Psychology (both from University of St. Thomas), along with various other coaching and leadership program certifications.
TONIE ERIKSON-DOUGHTY
Administrative Assistant
I have been working with Krista at Ceiba Coaching & Consulting since January 2018. I work part time at Ceiba, while also “momming” and managing my kids’ already crazy schedules. Within my role, I am responsible for all things administrative, from scheduling meetings and organizing our work to managing our books. I work closely with our clients to ensure meetings are scheduled, that we stay on track with timelines and to help answer any questions that come up.
Previously (and before kids), I spent 7 years at Target Corporation, where I first met and worked with Krista. I held a variety of roles within HR, more specifically, within Talent Management. Most of my Target career was spent in administrative roles and focused on talent planning processes. Prior to Target, I worked for an event planning company, helping to coordinate and organize events from conception to implementation.
I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in Communication Studies (2003). Outside of work, I spend most of my time running around with my two little kiddos (Isaac and Iselle) and desperately trying to clean up after them. I love spending time with family and friends, working on home improvement projects, exercising and being outdoors. If there’s one thing I could do more of, it would be to travel and experience new places with my family.
